SENATE & HOUSE CHAIRS
Historically significant chairs original to the 1938 Capitol
YOUR VERY OWN PIECE OF OREGON HISTORY
Special thanks to all who stood up to take a seat

The Capitol Foundation’s historical Senate and House chair sale in 2017 was a huge success. All chairs sold.
This fundraiser gave an unprecedented opportunity to own historically significant Senate and House desk and side chairs. They chairs were original to the Capitol when it opened to the public in 1938.
The Oregon Beach Bill, Forest Practices Act, Bicycle Bill, Bottle Bill and other landmark legislation passed during their use. Imagine if these chairs could talk!
The Capitol Foundation uses proceeds foster cultural and educational opportunities for all who visit our Capitol. Your donation helps Oregonians know their Capitol as a beautiful, vibrant place to engage with history and democracy.
