HELP COMMISSION GOV. KATE BROWN’S PORTRAIT
Your tax-deductible gift preserves our governor’s legacy in historically significant artwork.
The Capitol Foundation is working alongside Gov. Brown and representatives from the Governor’s Office, the Oregon Arts Commission and the Office of Legislative Administrator, among others, to commission the governor’s official gubernatorial portrait. We need your help!
Because no public funds are used for commissioning, preserving or repairing the portraits of Oregon’s governors, we rely entirely on the generosity of donors like you.

The Capitol Foundation is a 503(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Tax ID 20-5164853.
Once fundraising is complete, the next steps include selecting an artist and determining the type of portrait – a painting or bust – the artist will create to portray Gov. Brown.
When it is time to unveil the work of art, we will invite donors to the dedication ceremony. We hope you will be a part of it. Donors will receive recognition during the event and in Capitol Foundation communications.
The Capitol Foundation assists the Governor’s Office in raising funds to commission an official gubernatorial portrait after each Oregon governor’s term ends. Our nonprofit earmarks excess funds from the commissioning of the portrait, if any, to maintain and preserve artwork portraying our state’s past leaders and repair damaged artwork.
Thank you for supporting this important work. Together, we are preserving history and inspiring tomorrow’s leaders.
