GOV. KATE BROWN’S PORTRAIT

The Capitol Foundation worked alongside Gov. Brown and representatives from the Governor’s Office, the Oregon Arts Commission and the Office of Legislative Administrator, among others, to commission the governor’s official gubernatorial portrait.

Because no public funds are used for commissioning, preserving or repairing the portraits of Oregon’s governors, we rely entirely on the generosity of donors like you.

Former Governor Kate Brown has selected portrait artist Robin Damore to paint the official portrait documenting her governorship.

Robin Damore is a professional portrait artist and photographer who has operated her own studio in Vancouver, Washington for 22 years. To read more about the artist click here.

When it is time to unveil the work of art, we will invite donors to the dedication ceremony. We hope you will be a part of it. Donors will receive recognition during the event and in Capitol Foundation communications.

The Capitol Foundation assists the Governor’s Office in raising funds to commission an official gubernatorial portrait after each Oregon governor’s term ends. Our nonprofit earmarks excess funds from the commissioning of the portrait, if any, to maintain and preserve artwork portraying our state’s past leaders and repair damaged artwork.
