Jessica Adamson is the Executive Director, State Government & Public Affairs for Providence where she oversees the state government relations efforts in seven states for the not-for-profit health system. Adamson has spent her career in and around Oregon state government in a variety of advocacy and legislative staff roles. She is proud to join the Oregon State Capitol Foundation to make Oregon’s seat of democracy accessible to all.

Early in her career, Adamson worked for former House Speaker Lynn Lundquist, R-Powell Butte, and Senator Jeannette Hamby, R-Hillsboro. Jessica then spent 10 years as the public affairs director for Associated General Contractors Oregon-Columbia Chapter. She served as business liaison for Oregon Democratic United States Senator Jeff Merkley and then as legislative director former House Speaker Dave Hunt, D-Milwaukie. During the unique power-sharing arrangement of the evenly divided Oregon House in 2011-2012 legislative sessions, Adamson served as chief of staff for former House Co-Speaker Arnie Roblan, D-Coos Bay.

A native Oregonian who grew up in Albany, Adamson received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Pacific University in Forest Grove. Married with three children, Adamson lives in Sherwood and serves on the Sherwood School District Board of Directors.
