A proud native Oregonian, John Watt was born and raised in Lebanon, Oregon. His first visit to the Oregon State Capitol came when his grade school class visited in 4th grade. What a great experience that was! Being elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 1990 was a dream come true. Serving his constituents from Medford for 4 terms and then walking the halls as an advocate for Southern Oregon for 26 more gave him the opportunity to work in the Capitol for a total of 30 years, marveling every day what a great pleasure it was to work in this grand old building.
